WILLIAM BILL OMODING

William is a seasoned banking executive with over 30 years of distinguished experience in the financial services industry. He served as a branch manager at the Standard Chartered bank for 16 years where he spurred growth in the different centres . This has been complemented by a proven track record of leadership as a Director and Board Member of prominent public organizations.
Summary
For 6 years, he led the Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA) where the Authority achieved significant milestones in the Lake Victoria basin, focusing on water, energy, environment, transport, tourism, and agriculture. These efforts have led to increased agricultural productivity, improved access to clean water, and enhanced regional industrialization. Under his leadership, LBDA also focused on restructuring and commercializing its operations for sustainability, reducing environmental degradation, and fostering community development. He also served as a trustee of the Central Bank of Kenya Pension Fund .
William was also a Council Member at the Rongo University where he chaired the audit committee, Human Resource and Finance Committee, Risk Management and Resource Mobilization Committee and the Academic Affairs and Appeals Committee. He led Kwetu Home of Peace, an NGO that rescues, rehabilitates, and reintegrates street boys back into their families. At Kwetu Home of Peace, he provided leadership in directing the organization’s business, participate in identifying, giving strategy and implementing values to achieve organization’s purpose.
William holds a Masters Degree in Development Studies from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA.
