About the Project
The "Women Lead" Advocacy project, launched in 2023 by Horn of Africa Communication for Development Ltd, was a dynamic initiative to empower Somali women as catalysts for gender equality. Operating across Puntland and Somaliland with a $300,000 budget, this year-long effort confronted deep-rooted challenges—such as limited political voice, societal norms, and economic disparities—by training women, amplifying their stories, and advocating for policy reform.
